Since I work more and more with Windows 7 I had a look at Microsoft OneNote 2010. Before I used Evernote and I was happy with it. But as I saw OneNote and startet using it, I can’t think being without it. There are alot of features I really love and OneNote 2010 is really nice integrated into Windows 7 and the Office products.
So if you wish to migrate from Evernote to Microsoft OneNote 2010 you can do that in diffrend ways.
- Import Notes via Outlook (send Evernote Notes via email and import them in Outlook via the Send to OneNote button)
- Export Notes as HTML and Import Them Into OneNote
- Import Notes via the OneNote Printer
You can read a great HowTo on howtogeek.com
Btw. Microsoft released also OneNote for iPhone

Thomas, you can use the Ever2One Converter to import notes from Evernote to OneNote. BTW, it was laso reviewed on how-to-geek.
Ever2One Convrter can be downloaded here: http://www.mobilenoter.com/Evernote
I am really amazed that OneNote does not have Import and Export functions.
I might consider using it if it did.
For instance, I have used a notes app for years called Phatnotes. It has a feature where I can export a whole notes database (of many notes) to a .csv file. So when I tried Evernote, I exported Phatnotes to .csv, then imported that file into Evernote, and all my notes then appeared in Evernote.
Similarly, easy to import and export notes between Outlook Notes and Phatnotes.
OneNote cannot even import and export notes from Outlook Notes, part of the same Office Suite.
The workarounds you discuss sound like a real hassle-e-mailing to myself every single note separately, then “printing” them to OneNote. (Which I believe would create a graphic file of each of those notes, not any more editable. No way will I hassle with that.
Have they fixed this in OneNote 2013? Is it finally possible to import and export?
Certainly a major mistake from Microsoft, not to include import and export functions. It has probably caused a lot of people (especially those who already have a lot of notes) not to try OneNote, no matter how good it is otherwise.
OneNote is a file based Note system you don’t have to export files you can just simply open a OneNote notebook and drag notes from one Notebook to another one.
1) If you have hundreds of Evernote Notes, they will be imported in a single page if you send them all by email (or you have to send them one by one)
2) if you print to evernote printer, it happens the same thing. You need to print then one by one, otherwise they will merged to a single OneNote Page
3) HTML is the same thing, you have to load every single html file and send them one by one.
4) I’ve tried to install Ever2One and got a DLL thing error message
Well, even if we find a way to import them separated, we won’t still be able to relate the notebooks of EverNote, to Sections of OneNote. If we could import all of them at once, they will be imported to a single section.
Please, any other idea ? I’m sick of having crash problems with Evernote on my Surface RT, so, I will have to give up with it.
September 2013, still the same problem of Carlos Trindade. Ever2One still gaves an error if it’s not phishing. I give up with OneNote.
