I just took a little bit of my time to do one of the latest Azure exams. The Azure exam AZ-900 Microsoft Azure Fundamentals is, as the name suggests, a basic fundamental exam covering some general knowledge about Microsoft Azure. The exam covers a basic understanding of cloud concepts, core Azure services, security, privacy, compliance, and trust, as well as Azure Pricing and support.
If you want to take the exam by yourself, check out my AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Exam Study Guide
AZ-900 is a good exam if you are starting with Azure and the cloud. It is not just a marketing and sales exam; even do it is a very light exam. You will need to have some technical know-how. If you are planning to take this exam I have some recommendations for you. Understand the benefits of cloud computing and the different cloud models. Go through the list of Azure services, make sure you know what services are available and for what you would use them. Also make sure that you understand the concepts of Azure in general and in Azure governance, like Subscriptions, Management Groups, Azure Policies, Azure Resource Groups, Role-Based Access Control, and many more.

Just did it myself today and even tried the “Home” option from Pearson Vue. I think it took me longer to scan the room and upload all pictures than taking the exam :) I find the AZ-900 is a good starting point, simple questions on the fundamentals. I think it’s good advice for everyone in the Azure-space to look into it.
[…] The Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) is ideal for beginners, or people who are less technical. It’s also an ideal start if you’re new to the Microsoft Exams. Thomas Maurer wrote recently an article about his experience. […]
Thanks for the info! I’m thinking to try this exam but I am unable to find any course to prepare it. Any recommendation regarding to this?

Is it nessesary to take the corse AZ-900T01 in classroom also to be able to pass? They are pretty expensive for mee as I have to pay for myself. Bet regards
I am planning to sit for the AZ-900 exam myself.
Do you know whether this exam will be an objective Multiple Choice Question type? Or do the candidates have to write descriptive answers of a few lines?
How many questions are asked and how long is the test
Passed AZ-900 today!!
Learning Material provided my Microsoft is enough to pass the exam if followed religiously.
Congrats and great to hear you liked the learning content!
How many questions in exam?
Is it true that’s (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/learn/paths/azure-fundamentals/?WT.mc_id=thomasmaurer-blog-thmaure) enough ?
Could you please recommend some videos like cbtnuggets?
Do you need to practice with a laboratory or is it just theoretical?
I have a question regarding the AZ900 exam. Is going over the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals module on Microsoft Learning enough to pass the exam?
Or do you need more practice materials?
Is is true that you have to take the exam under surveilance? Meaning that you webcam has to be on and they will be able to se your screen?
Hi, Yes if you take the exam online that is correct, webcam and microphone will be on, to make sure people can’t cheat. 😊
any books that you can recommend to start learning Azure?
Where can i get good test questions? I need test questions to check if i understand that stuff. Reading alone is not enough for me. I made Microsoft test in the past and most the time they ask stuff that you do not expect from the learning material.
