Celebrating a Milestone: Five Years at Microsoft

February 2024 marked a significant milestone in my career – my five-year work anniversary at Microsoft. Reflecting on this journey, it’s been a remarkable blend of growth, innovation, and community engagement, all centered around the transformative power of Microsoft Azure within the Cloud + AI organization.

My adventure began in February 2019 as a Senior Cloud Advocate in the Microsoft Azure Cloud Advocacy team. Here, I dedicated myself to the advocacy of Azure products, solutions, and services. Being part of the Developer Relations group, specifically the Cloud Advocates, I joined forces with the AzOps team led by the renowned Rick Claus. Our mission was clear: to focus on the IT Ops and IT Pro community, advocating for customers within the Azure product group, sharing knowledge, and actively engaging with the community.

The next chapter of my Microsoft story was with the Azure Customer + Partner Engineering (CPE) team lead by Duane Bourgeois, where I took on the role of Senior Program Manager. The Azure CPE team’s vision was to drive the adoption of Azure’s edge + platform (hybrid) through an engineering-centric approach that enhances customer experiences, service quality, and credibility. This was achieved by fostering customer success engagements, nurturing a robust partner engineering ecosystem, and empowering the technical field.

Today, I find myself in the Azure Adaptive Cloud Experiences (ACX) Evaluation and Community Enablement team (lead by Lior Kamrat) within the Azure Edge + Platform organization as a Principal Program Manager. Our goal is ambitious yet straightforward: to drive the adoption of Azure’s edge + platform (hybrid, multicloud, and edge) and to spearhead an engineering-led initiative that elevates the customer experience. We’re responsible for delivering top-notch evaluation experiences, creating compelling content, advocating for the cloud, enabling the community, organizing events, and crafting demos and reference architectures.

Looking back, these five years have been a whirlwind of innovation, learning, and community building. From Azure Arc to Azure Stack HCI, AKS enabled by Azure Arc, Azure IoT, and beyond, the journey has been nothing short of exhilarating. As I celebrate this milestone, I’m filled with gratitude for the experiences, the people I’ve met, and the impact we’ve made together.

Here’s to the past five years at Microsoft and to the many more to come, as we continue to shape the future of cloud computing and empower communities worldwide. Thank you for being a part of my journey. Let’s keep innovating and growing together.
