I am happy to let you know that I was on the betatalks podcast, to talk about my job, the cloud and much more!

In this episode, we talk with Thomas Maurer about what keeps him busy on a day-to-day basis. He tells us the two most important aspects of his job as a Senior Cloud Advocate: creating & delivering content and bringing back feedback into the engineering world. He shares with us the way they gather feedback from customers and how they hunt for those gaps. Furthermore, we discuss the importance of staying on top of new things and why you should keep learning. Should there be an ‘Advocate of all new things’? We talk about Azure certifications, how he helps other people get certified, and the enrichment it gives when owning certain Azure certificates. And if he had the possibility, what would he disinvent?

Azure Enablement Show Introduction to the hybrid and multicloud Scenario

Azure Enablement Show: Introduction to the hybrid and multicloud Scenario

Today I can announce a new episode of the Azure Enablement Show with an introduction to the hybrid and multicloud scenario and the landing zone accelerator for Azure Arc-enabled servers. In this video, I talked with Lior Kamrat about the new hybrid and multicloud scenario and how customers can take advantage of the Azure landing zone accelerator.

Introduction to the hybrid and multicloud Scenario

As organizations adopt modern cloud services and as business requirements dictate, they may choose to run services in more than one public cloud service, known as hybrid and multicloud scenarios.

In this episode, Thomas and Lior discuss how Microsoft Azure features, such as landing zone accelerators, Azure Arc, and ArcBox can assist organizations configuring and deploying hybrid and multicloud environments.

0:00 Introduction
0:29 Why are hybrid and multicloud so important?
1:36 Whare are some of the solutions offered by Azure, such as Azure Arc?
3:14 What are scenarios?
4:44 What is included in the hybrid and multicloud scenario?
6:28 How does the landing zone accelerator fit into the conversation?
8:19 What is Azure ArcBox and how should customers use it?
10:38 Where can customers go to learn more?

Microsoft launches landing zone accelerator for Azure Arc-enabled servers

If you want to learn more Vijay Kumar (Director, Windows Server and Azure Product Marketing) wrote a blog post about the official launch of the landing zone accelerator for Azure Arc-enabled servers.

Today we’re launching the Azure Arc-enabled servers landing zone accelerator within the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework. The landing zone accelerator provides best practices, guidance, and automated reference implementations so that customers can get started with their deployments quickly and easily.

Azure Arc-enabled servers landing zone accelerator makes it easier for customers to increase security, governance, and compliance posture on servers that are deployed outside of Azure. Along with Azure Arc, services such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Policy, and many others are included in the reference implementations that can then be extended to production environments.
