System Center Universe

My 2013

Well another year just ends and as in 2011 and 2012 I like to summarize things a little before starting with the next year. This year was maybe one of the busiest years for me and it was really fun. I had the chance to meet, talk and work with some really great people all over the world, and to list every single one would just be to much, but I want to make sure that everyone knows I am really thankful for that. I am also pretty happy with this year and the goals I reached, and for me everything worked out pretty good. Besides that I am really grateful that most of the people around me, like my friends and family and of course myself, are healthy, because this is something I cannot control and you need a lot of luck for that.

I tried to summarize some of the events and things I had the chance to do in 2013, there was a lot of other stuff going on but I think this does is pretty good.

Switzerland Montreux

2013 was my second year at itnetx gmbh where I am working as a Cloud Architect. Well this job brought me around some of the most beautiful places in Switzerland. And it still feels pretty cool to work in such a great company with so many talented people, know-how and interesting projects.

System Center Virtual Machine Manager Bare-Metal Deployment

System Center Virtual Machine Manager Mania at E2EVC

As you may know, back in Mai this year I was in Copenhagen speaking at the Experts 2 Experts Virtualization Conference, short E2EVC. Together with Michael Rüefli I talked in the SCVMM Mania session about the latest and greatest features in System Center Virtual Machine Manager like the new Networking features like the Logical Switch, Bare-Metal Deployment of Hyper-V hosts, Services and Server App-V and also the VMware integration inside SCVMM.

Since this week you can watch the session right on youtube.

Btw. my next speaking event will be at the System Center Universe Europe in Bern Switzerland. Together with other Microsoft MVPs and Consultants will I do an advanced session on System Center 2012 R2 – Virtual Machine Manager Networking and an overview session on Windows Server 2012 R2 Hyper-V. So if you want to see my sessions or the other great sessions about the Microsoft Cloud offering, System Center, Windows Server and Windows Azure make sure you register for the event on systemcenteruniverse.ch.

Speaking at the E2EVC in Copenhagen

E2EVC

Last year I was for the first time the Experts 2 Experts Virtualization Conference (E2EVC) in Hamburg where we teach a Microsoft MVP Master Class and also did a video interview (4 Virtual Machine MVPs talking about Hyper-V at the E2EVC).

The next E2EVC conference will take place in Copenhagen on the 30th May to 2th July. I have the chance to present a session with the title “SCVMM-Mania (should or should you not manage all your hypervisor platforms using SCVMM 2012 SP1)”  together with Michael Rüefli. The session will include content about System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012 SP1 and how you can manage different hypervisors like Hyper-V, VMware ESXi and Cirtix XenServer.

And there a lot of top session form:

and a lot more…
