Thomas Maurer works as a Cloud Architect at itnetx gmbh, a consulting and engineering company located in Bern/Switzerland which has been awarded by Microsoft as “Partner of the Year 2011 – Datacenter” and “Partner of the Year 2012 – Datacenter”. Itnetx is focused on Microsoft Technologies, especially Microsoft Private Cloud Solutions, Microsoft System Center and Microsoft Virtualization.

Before Thomas joined itnetx he has worked as a System Engineer for national provider where he could get a lot of understanding in the datacenter area. His main focus in the Microsoft Private Cloud and Microsoft Infrastructure Virtualization based on Microsoft Hyper-V and Microsoft System Center.

Beside the certifications as Microsoft Certified IT Professional MCITP: Enterprise Administrator and MCTIP: Virtualization Administrator he is also one of the first Microsoft Certified Solution Experts for Private Cloud solutions (MCSE: Private Cloud).

In 2012 Thomas Maurer was awarded by Microsoft with the Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) Award for his expertise in Virtual Machine (Hyper-V).

Thomas works closely with Microsoft and partners to promote Microsoft Technology as speaker for Microsoft and other Technical events such as TechDays (http://www.techdays.ch) or Geekmania (www.geekmania.ch).
