My first year with Windows Phone

WinodwsPhoneMangoLogo

Exactly one year ago I got my first Windows Phone. Since then a lot has change and Windows Phone has really improved.

After the first update, called NoDo, I could leave my iPhone 4 behind and change to the HTC 7 Trophy. Of course the hardware was nowhere near the iPhone 4 but the Windows Phone OS was just great. Now one year later there is a lot of good Windows Phone hardware out there and the Windows Phone OS has improved with Mango.

I am sure there will be a lot more great Windows Phone stuff in the future.

Windows Phone 7 Update

It’s time to update my HTC 7 Trophy with the first small Windows Phone 7 Update. This is not the big update which was announced for early this year, but you need this update to get updates for your phone in the future.

My first days with Windows Phone 7

Some days ago I got myself a new Windows Phone 7. I took the HTC 7 Trophy because it was the cheapest Windows Phone 7 on the market and I really did not care about the hardware, my only interest was the Windows Phone 7 Software, otherwise I think I would by a Samsung Omnia 7 because of the great AMOLED Display.

My first impression was: “It’s really fast and something totally different”. And after now using it for a while my first impression didn’t change. I really like the social integration and the user interface. There are still some things which need to be done for the next versions.
